This hand-plucked, traditionally roasted charcoal dong ding was finished by one of the foremost tea masters in Taiwan who still knows how to traditionally roast dong dings over a charcoal fire, and who places his teas in bamboo baskets before his Buddhist altar before sending them off to their far-flung destinations.
This handsome tea comes from Nantou County in central Taiwan where the rolling green hills produce the most exquisitely fragrant dong ding rolled oolongs.
This is a tea that not only impresses from the get-go, but woos you back to it again and again. Good for aging, it is a tea that has excellent flavor and also produces the "oolong high" that so many tea aficionados look for in a great tea.
A rare and special treat!
